Not an expert in cycling and not sure which bike is best for you?
You can choose the type of bike you prefer for the selected itinerary among trekking, mtb, racing and gravel bikes. In each itinerary, a bike type is suggested according to the selected route.
Not all types of bikes are available for each itinerary, check those available and select the one that best suits your needs!
Here is a simple overview of the bikes that can be selected according to their ease of use and speed:
TREKKING: the trekking bike is a hybrid bike, halfway between the traditional city bike and the mountain bike. It performs very well on dirt roads because it is sturdy and agile, but at the same time it is comfortable on long routes on asphalt.
MTB: The mountain bike (often abbreviated to MTB, which stands for Mountain/Trials Bike or Mountain Trail Bike) is a bicycle structured in such a way as to be able to move off paved roads, both uphill and downhill, even on rough terrain. The main characteristic of this bike is its sturdiness.
GRAVEL: gravel bikes are the ideal bicycles for riding on dirt roads while maintaining the handling and feeling of speed that can only give a racing bike. In English, in fact, the word gravel means "gravel" or "dirt".
RACING BIKE: The racing bike is a type of bicycle designed for road cycling, according to the rules established by the International Cycling Union (UCI), used since birth to carry out competitions in line or stages over distances more or less long. It is the means to choose if you prefer speed, at the expense of comfort.
ELECTRIC BIKES:
E-BIKE TREKKING: an e-bike trekking presents the same characteristics of the trekking bike, but in addition is equipped with an electric motor, a lithium battery and a series of sensors that instantly detect data relating to the force that the cyclist exerts on the pedals, which are coded for a control unit that calibrates the support to be returned to the cyclist.
E-MTB: Pedal-assisted mountain bikes amplify not only pedaling power, but also enjoyment on the trail. They make it possible to cover a greater distance in less time: they are the ultimate in performance and fun in mountain biking.
